Pruebas recientes de misiles norcoreanos
July 31, 2019 -
Corea del Norte disparó dos misiles balísticos de corto alcance desde su
costa oriental, el segundo lanzamiento de ese tipo en una semana. Los misiles, designados KN-23 por la OTAN, son parecidos al Iskander-M 9K723 ruso
The test flights follow launches on July 25, North Korea’s first missile tests since leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to revive stalled denuclearization talks at an impromptu meeting at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between the two Koreas on June 30.
According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, a first missile was launched at 05:06 local time (20:06GMT Tuesday) and was followed by a second 21 minutes later.
Based on the flight profile of the latest launches the KN-23s are capable of aero-ballistic manoeuvres to increase their ability to evade missile defences.
The launches bring the number of suspected KN-23 test flights to seven since a summit between Trump and Kim in Hanoi collapsed on February 28.
