El Golfo de Guinea es el peor foco de piratería en el mundo
July 2, 2019 - El Golfo de Guinea en África Occidental se ha convertido en el mar más infestado de piratas en el mundo, según el Buró Marítimo Internacional (BMI), con 72 ataques en 2018 – frente a 28 en 2014. En lo que va de este año ya se han registrado 30 ataques.
Elsewhere piracy is in decline. Between 2014 and 2018 the number of incidents each year in Southeast Asia fell from 141 to 60, and to just three off Somalia, which in 2007-12 faced this century’s worst piracy crisis.
