Problemas de seguridad de Huawei

Graphic News

Trump has said the restrictions are a response to allegations that Huawei is helping Beijing spy on foreign governments. Huawei has also been accused of stealing intellectual property from several tech companies, including Cisco Systems Inc. and T-Mobile. Huawei denies all the charges.

To try to mitigate the trade bans, Huawei has assigned some 10,000 developers to work across three shifts a day to eliminate the need for software and vital components supplied by chipmakers from the U.S. and Europe.

Under pressure from Washington, Australia and New Zealand have boycotted Huawei’s 5G network equipment, while Japan has effectively done so. Others, including the U.K., are considering a ban.

In a gleam of success amongst the gloom, Huawei has signed a deal with Russia’s top mobile phone operator MTS to develop 5G technology in Russia over the coming year.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday following talks in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

NEW GRAPHIC NEWS - a new website for a new era.

28 years ago — April 2, 1991 — the original Graphic News launched using a precursor to today’s websites that used email technology. These enabled infographics to be delivered electronically around the world over telephone lines. What was possible was very limited - It took 10 minutes for a 100K file to download.

Since then delivery speeds and website technology have moved on. The new website will offer the best online experience possible now, adding many new features (and offering new opportunities for the future), but still enabling existing users to select and download infographics and enjoy the distinct brand of visual journalism that is Graphic News.

Over the coming weeks I will give further information. Please contact me if you have any questions. Fiona Roberts, froberts @
