Hamilton made his debut for McLaren in 2007, aged 22, finishing third in Melbourne, Australia, sealing his first F1 title one year later to become the youngest ever World Champion -- a record eclipsed by Sebastian Vettel in 2010.

With 71 race victories in total -- including nine this season -- he is second only to Schumacher, as he now aims to chase down the German great after signing a £40m-per-year contract extension with Mercedes in July.

Hamilton is part of a select club of only five drivers with four or more titles, comprising fellow four-time winners Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost, Juan Manuel Fangio on five and record holder Michael Schumacher on seven.

Remaining races:
November 11, 2018 - Brazilian Grand Prix
November 25, 2018 - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
