Inundaciones letales en Kerala

August 21, 2018 - Si bien han cedido las lluvias monzónicas en el estado indio de Kerala, afectado por inundaciones, más de 200.000 personas en campamentos de refugio están ahora en riesgo de contraer enfermedades.

Twelve days of incessant rains have left at least 186 people dead in Kerala state. Between June 1 and August 19, Kerala received 235cm of rain, 42 percent more than normal. During August alone the increase was 164 percent above normal.

Rescue teams are focused on the town of Chengannur on the Pamba River, where some 5,000 people are feared to be trapped.
