Israel en “alerta alta” luego del anuncio de Trump sobre el pacto con Irán

By Jordi Bou

The Israeli military said that, upon identifying “irregular activity” by Iranian forces in Syria, it instructed civic authorities on the Golan Heights to ready bomb shelters, deploy new defences and mobilise some reservist forces.

Within two hours of the White House announcement, Syrian state news agency SANA reported explosions in a military base in Kisweh without causing casualties.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the missiles had targeted a weapons depot, “presumably belonging to Hezbollah and the Iranians.”

In recent years, particularly since 2017, Israel has carried out numerous strikes in Syria against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad and his ally, the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.

On April 9, missiles targeted the T-4 air base in the central province of Homs, killing up to 14 fighters, including seven Iranians.

On April 29, at least 26 mostly Iranian fighters were killed by missiles fired on regime military positions, according to the Observatory.

Israeli officials have confirmed the Jewish state has carried out dozens of attacks in recent years on convoys of Iranian weapons being sent through Syria to Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy militia in Lebanon.
