February 18, 2025 - Europe’s new UEFA Champions League season continues, with the newly introduced knock-out phase play-offs featuring teams ranked 9th-24th in the league phase, competing to join the Top 8 already qualified for the Last 16. Ties of the round include Feyenoord travelling to face Milan at the fiery San Siro with a slender one-goal advantage, and Bayern Munich hosting Celtic after a compelling first leg encounter. The draw for the Last 16 takes place on Friday, February 21.

The 70th season of Europe's elite club competition, and the 33rd since it was renamed the UEFA Champions League, this is the first under the new format. It kicks off on 9 July 2024 with the qualifiers, and runs until the final on Saturday May 31, 2025 at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

Real Madrid are defending champions having defeated Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 final.
