Croatia, Denmark and Norway co-host World Handball Championships 2025
January 14, 2025 - February 2, 2025 - Croatia, Denmark and Norway co-host the biennial IHF World Championship -- Denmark are reigning three-time champions after winning the tournament in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
The 29th Men’s World Handball Championship takes place, with 108 matches at five venues over three weeks. Oslo (Norway), Herning (Denmark), and Zagreb, Varaždin and Poreč (Croatia) will all host matches throughout the tournament.
Reigning champions Denmark are aiming to defend their title, after first beating Norway in the 2019 final, repeating the feat against Sweden in 2021, before dispatching perennial favourites France in 2023.
The Unity Arena in Oslo will host the final on February 2.
