Route and stages for the 2025 Dakar Rally

January 3, 2025 - January 17, 2025 - The world’s most gruelling rally returns for its sixth edition in Saudi Arabia, covering almost 8,000km – including more than 5,000km in special stages.

Beginning in the oasis city of Bisha on Jan 3, the race features a prologue and 12 stages, including the 48-hour chrono stage, a marathon stage and the climactic challenge in the Empty Quarter desert, before drawing to a close in Shubaytah on Jan 17.

For the first time, five stages of the rally will take place on separate courses for safety purposes to reduce the danger of cars and trucks overtaking bikes.
