December 10, 2024 - Baseball star Juan Soto, 26, has secured the largest contract in the history of sport, by agreeing a colossal $765m deal over 15 years with the New York Mets.

Soto’s mega deal also includes a $75m signing on bonus for the four-time MLB All-Star, with no deferred money, in a deal that could eventually be worth up to $800m.
The total value of the deal eclipses the $700m 10-year contract that Shohei Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
