Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to in the next few years after Disney-owned Lucasfilm announced a brand new movie trilogy under the stewardship of writer/producer Simon Kinberg.
Very little is known about the project apart from rumours it will feature an entirely new set of characters and be labelled Episodes X, XI and XII.
Outside of the new announcement, Lucasfilm already has six other Star Wars films in various stages of production, with the first release likely to hit cinemas in 2026.
NEW STAR WARS MOVIES
1) The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)
2) Star Wars: New Jedi Order (2026)
3) Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi (2027)

5) Untitled Dave Filoni movie (TBC)
6) Untitled Taika Waititi movie (TBC)
