By Ninian Carter

October 9, 2024 - Milton to make landfall on the exposed and heavily developed coastline of Tampa, Florida – striking a region that hasn’t had a direct hit from a hurricane in more than a century.

Hurricane Milton, now downgraded to a Category 4 storm, but still one of the most powerful in recent years, is set to smash into the Tampa area of Florida, late Oct 9 or early Oct 10.
