November 5, 2024 - Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican candidate former President Donald Trump face each other in the U.S. Presidential election, with the winner needing to secure at least 270 electoral college votes.

NOTE TO EDITORS: Ahead of election night, this graphic is displaying state polls from Real Clear Politics. On election day from 00:00 GMT November 5 all data will automatically be cleared. First updates are expected after the first polls close East Coast at 18:00 local time (23:00GMT), as the result in each state is called by the National Election Pool. This is likely to start with exit polls, then moving to live counts and finally declared results as they are announced.
