July 31, 2024 - A new poll from Reuters/Ipsos shows Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris holding onto a slim one point lead over Republican rival Donald Trump.

The Reuters/Ipsos survey conducted over three days and finishing on Sunday, July 28, shows Vice President Harris supported by 43% of voters, with former President Trump on 42% (margin of error 3.5 percentage points).

Harris, 59, assumed the role of Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden, 81, bowed out of running again due to pressure from within his own party to step aside due to his age and apparently failing faculties.
