Copa America 2024 winners and finalists

June 20, 2024 - July 14, 2024 - Defending champions Argentina kick off the 48th edition of the tournament, aiming to emulate Spain’s 2012 feat by winning a continental title either side of lifting the FIFA World Cup trophy. Argentina, Uruguay or Brazil have won all but eight trophies since the South American Championship began in 1916.

Since 1993, the tournament has generally featured 12 teams – all 10 CONMEBOL teams plus two teams from other confederations. This year, five guest nations plus hosts United States join Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela in the South American showpiece.
