May 4, 2024 - May 26, 2024 - The 2024 Giro d’Italia route, starting in Turin on May 4 and finishing in Rome on May 26, will feature a challenging course which includes two individual time trials, six mountain finishes a “Strada Bianca” gravel stage and a final-week crescendo in the Dolomites.

This is just the fourth time that the race has started in Piedmont, and the opening stage will include the Superga hill, marking 75 years since the air disaster in which the entire Torino football team, five-time champions and making up most of the Italian national team, were killed when their plane crashed into the hillside Basilica.

Organiser RCS has reduced the average length of stages in line with other Grand Tours, and there are just four stages that are over 200km, with most around the 170km mark. There are five mountains stages, eight hilly stages, two time trials and six flat stages.

The winner of the 2024 Giro d’Italia will be crowned on the streets of Rome on May 26, with a city circuit closing out the 107th edition.
