Artistic swimming takes place at the Aquatics Centre, the only permanent sports facility to be built for the Paris 2024 Olympics. It was introduced to the Olympics in 1984 as a female-only sport and in 2024 will, for the first time, include a men’s event.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games feature 32 sports encompassing 329 events – fewer than the preceding Tokyo Olympics, after Baseball, Softball and Karate were axed and some other events lost medal categories.
