Tour de France 2024 stage maps
June 29, 2024 - July 21, 2024 - For the first time in 50 years, the Tour de France will not see a Champs-Élysées finish, as the Olympic Games are to be held in Paris, and will instead end with a hilly time trial in Nice.
For the first time, the Grand Départ is in Italy, with riders setting off from Florence on June 29. The first three stages pass through the provinces of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy before crossing the border on the fourth stage to Valloire.
Organisers of the 21-stage route are expecting an open race, with two individual time trials totalling 59km, four mountain-top finishes, and a series of gravel sections. Covering a distance of around 3,492km, the race will demand climbing a total elevation of 52,320m, much of it in the final week.
The stages include:
8 flat stages
4 hill stages
7 mountains stages
2 individual time trials
