May 6, 2023 - May 28, 2023 - The 106th edition of the Giro d’Italia starts with a time trial in Fossacesia in the Abruzzo region on May 6, and ends in Rome, 21 days and 3,489.2km later, having taken in an altitude gain of 51,400m.
The Giro 2023 features five mountain stages and seven summit finishes, five hill stages, seven sprint stages and three time trials, including a brutal mountain time trial on the penultimate stage in the Julian Alps, and passes through 13 of Italy’s 20 regions.
