Eagles face Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII
February 12, 2023 - The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 57th edition of the Super Bowl, at the State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona. Barbadian singer Rihanna will headline the traditional half-time show in her first stage performance since 2018.
The Super Bowl is the annual championship of the U.S. National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American football.
The game is contested by the winners of the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC).
Kansas City Chiefs, with inspiring quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are making their fifth appearance in the Super Bowl and ended a 50-year wait for second title by the beating San Francisco 49ers in 2020. The Chiefs have made their third showpiece in four years, after losing out to Tampa Bay in 2021.
While the Philadelphia Eagles, with breakthrough quarterback Jalen Hurts, are in a fourth Super Bowl -- losing to Oakland in 1981, before avenging a narrow 2005 defeat to the Patriots with pulsating 41-33 victory in 2018.
