By Chris Dinsdale

January 25, 2023 - March 19, 2023 - The 57th edition of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup – the premier international circuit of alpine skiing competition. Mikaela Shiffrin is now the most successful skier in World Cup history after overhauling the overall record of alpine legend Ingemar Stenmark – exactly 12 years after making her debut.

Shiffrin now has 87 World Cup wins: 53 victories in the slalom, 20 in the giant slalom, five in the super-G, three in the downhill and city events, five in the parallel slalom and one in the Alpine combined.

She is the only skier in history to have secured victories in all six World Cup disciplines, and currently leads the 2022-23 World Cup standings aiming to win her fifth Overall title.
