March 3, 2023 - November 26, 2023 - The 74th Formula One World Championship commences with the Bahrain Grand Prix and concludes in Abu Dhabi in November. Australian driver Oscar Piastri makes his debut for McLaren in the 2023 season. Piastri was Reserve driver for Alpine and McLaren in 2022, after successive titles in Formula Renault (2019), F3 (2020), and F2 (2021) -- winning the latter by over 50 points. His team-mate is British driver Lando Norris.

The Formula One World Championship, the premier class of motor racing, is organised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

Twenty drivers will contest the 2023 World Championship:

Alfa Romeo Racing: Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu
AlphaTauri-Red Bull: Nyck de Vries (NEW), Yuki Tsunoda
Alpine-Renault: Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly
Aston Martin: Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll
Ferrari: Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz Jr.
Haas-Ferrari: Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg
McLaren-Mercedes: Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri (NEW)
