Brazil or Argentina expected to win 2022 FIFA World Cup
November 20, 2022 - December 18, 2022 - The FIFA World Cup takes place in Qatar (the first time it’s been held in the Middle East), with 32 teams competing to be crowned World Champions. South American heavyweights Brazil and Argentina are considered the favourites to win the World Cup, with a combined 36% chance, leaving their European rivals trailing.

Teams from Europe and South America are predicted to dominate the second round – with only Iran and Mexico anticipated to qualify from the rest of the world.
A total of 64 matches will be played at eight venues over four weeks, with the final taking place at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, on December 18.
