Situation report day 267
November 17, 2022 - NATO has confirmed that the missile which struck the eastern village of Przewodow is likely to have been a Ukrainian air defence missile responding to the Russian barrage which struck the country on Tuesday.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg added “Let me be clear: this is not Ukraine’s fault. Russia bears the ultimate responsibility as it continues its illegal war against Ukraine.”
Russian missile strikes continue to target critical energy infrastructure, with sites in Odesa and Dnipro hit. According to President Zelenskiy earlier this month, 40% of energy infastructure had been damaged or destroyed, raising fears that Russia is trying to freeze Ukraine into submission as winter approaches.
