Eurozone €280 billion cost of living aid

September 9, 2022 - Eurozone governments are committing more than €280 billion to help households and industry cope with the energy and cost of living crisis.

The amount of cash being spent by eurozone governments to help people and businesses deal with the energy price hike and soaring inflation has surpassed €280 billion euros, according to analysis by Reuters and think tank Bruegel.

The bloc’s governments have so far committed €282 billion euros (2.3% of their combined gross domestic product) to relief measures.
