The “Pixy” drone – the camera that follows you around

By Ninian Carter

April 29, 2022 - Snap Inc., the tech firm behind the Snapchat instant messaging app, has launched a cute new drone camera called “Pixy”.

Snap, the people behind Snapchat, have released a small yellow drone camera, called “Pixy”.

The puck-shaped gadget takes off from your hand and follows you around, filming what you’re doing – making social media posts all the more dynamic.

The pocket-sized gizmo can capture 12MP photos or shoot HD video, which is then wirelessly transferred to the Snapchat app on your phone. From there it can be shared on Snapchat, or any other platform.

With four preset flight paths, it floats, orbits, and follows the user wherever they go, negating the need for a separate controller or complex set up.

The Pixy is currently on sale in the U.S. and France for $230-$250.
