Manchester City and Liverpool eye Champions League final clash

April 28, 2022 - May 4, 2022 - The semi-finals in the UEFA Champions League take place across Europe, as the knockout stage reaches a climax. English Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool hold the advantage after victories in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final contests -- setting up the prospect of a second successive all-English final.

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is the 30th season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Chelsea are defending champions having defeated English Premier League rivals Manchester City in the 2021 final.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in European Cup history, with 13 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
