May 6, 2022 - May 29, 2022 - The 105th edition of the Giro d’Italia starts in Budapest, Hungary on May 6, and ends with a time trial in the historic city of Verona, after a gruelling 21 days and 3,437.6km, taking in an altitude gain of 50,610m.

The Giro 2022 features six mountain stages, six hill stages, seven sprint stages and two time trials, and passes through 14 of Italy’s 20 regions.

Eighteen UCI Pro Tour teams, one qualifying team and three wild cards will compete in the first Grand Tour of the year.

This Sportlive interactive tournament guide shows an overview of the route, with a calendar, plus maps and profiles of each stage, and a team guide with all the riders, showing which are still active in the race.
