UEFA Champions League Quarter-final draw

March 18, 2022 - The draw for the quarter-finals in the UEFA Champions League has taken place in Nyon, Switzerland. In four highly anticipated contests, reigning champions Chelsea face 13-time winners Real Madrid, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid clash, Villarreal aim to continue their impressive form against imperious Bayern Munich, and Benfica take on Liverpool, who are looking to maintain their dominant challenge for four trophies this season. The first leg takes place on April 5/6, with the return leg on April 12/13.

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is the 30th season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Chelsea are defending champions having defeated English Premier League rivals Manchester City in the 2021 final.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in European Cup history, with 13 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
