February 6, 2022 - Queen Elizabeth II becomes the first British sovereign to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee -- 70 years of service -- having acceded to the throne on February 6, 1952.

The official emblem for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022 was designed by 19-year-old graphic design student Edward Roberts.

According to the Royal Family website, the emblem features a purple and platinum design.

The stylised St Edward’s Crown, incorporating the number 70, is on a round purple background associated with royalty and signifying a royal seal.

The elegant font Perpetua, meaning forever, is an acknowledgement to the first British Monarch ever to mark 70 years on the throne.
