November 27, 2021 - The final of the 2021 Copa Libertadores, South America’s premier club competition, will be played at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo between Brazilian rivals Palmeiras and Flamengo.

Palmerias and Flamengo are both aiming to win their third Copa Libertadores title, having dominated the tournament in recent years. Palmeiras defeated Santos in the 2020 final, while in 2019 Flamengo dispatched Argentine heavyweights River Plate.
CONMEBOL member associations include Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraquay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Teams from Argentina and Brazil are traditionally dominant in the tournament, sharing 45 of 61 titles between them since 1960.
