Bobsled at the Winter Olympics

February 4, 2022 - February 20, 2022 - The 2022 winter Olympic Games, officially known as the XXIV Olympic Winter Games, take place in Beijing, China.

Situated on Xiaohaituo Mountain in northwest Yanqing, the Yanqing National Sliding Centre will host the men’s and women’s bobsleigh events at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The “Snow Dragon” track is, at 1,975m long, the longest artificial track in the world and has 16 turns including a unique 360 degree turn.

The Chinese Olympic team has developed its own bobsleigh in collaboration with 12 industry bodies including the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics resulting in a design with 8% lower wind resistance.
