November 14, 2008: India’s Chandrayaan-1 unmanned lunar exploration mission successfully landed its Moon Impact Probe on the south pole of the moon

November 15, 1971: The People’s Republic of China took its place at the UN General Assembly for the first time. A UN resolution in October had voted to admit China and expel Taiwan

November 16, 2020: Four astronauts blasted off to the ISS aboard a SpaceX rocket, initiating a new era of flights to low-Earth orbit conducted by commercial providers
