NBA season set for 2021-22 Tip-Off

October 19, 2021 - June 2, 2022 - The Opening Night of the National Basketball Association (NBA) season, The NBA 75th anniversary season launches with a star studded doubleheader -- defending champions Milwaukee Bucks host Brooklyn, while perennial favourites LA Lakers take on Golden State Warriors, with the remaining games played October 20.

The NBA is one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States.

A total of 30 teams play in the Eastern and Western Conference -- 15 in each. Teams are returning to play a traditional 82-game season, which culminates in the NBA Finals, a best-of-seven championship series between the top two teams which takes place in June.

The Milwaukee Bucks are the reigning champions, having beaten the Phoenix Suns in 2021 Finals to claim their first title since 1971.
