World events scheduled for August -- interactive version

By Duncan Mil

August 1, 2021 - Each month Graphic News moves a World Agenda -- an illustrated diary of upcoming events -- in both print format and as a responsive interactive version for digital devices.

Events in August include a decision by Israel’s Civil Administration over a 3,412-unit West Bank settler building project known as E1, Huawei’s Chief Financial Officer, Meng Wanzhou is set to return to court in Canada in her U.S. extradition case, and Nigeria expects to receive nearly 8 million additional doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

The withdrawal of the last 3,000 troops formally ends the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, turns 40, and Zambia holds general elections.
