UEFA Champions League 2021-22 play-off draw

August 2, 2021 - The draw for the play-offs in the UEFA Champions League has taken place in Nyon, Switzerland. Twenty-five teams have qualified for Europe’s primary club football tournament, joining defending champions Chelsea in the group stage draw. Teams occupying a play-off spot have one final chance to seal their 2021/22 season berth.

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is the 30th season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in European Cup history, with 13 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).

The final will be played at the Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg on May 28, 2022.

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
