149th Open at Royal St George’s

July 15, 2021 - July 18, 2021 - The 149th Open, cancelled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, will take place at the Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, Kent. It will be the 15th Open Championship staged at the course, 127 years on from the first in 1894.

The Open was last played at Royal St George’s in 2011, when Darren Clarke won his first and only major. Ben Curtis, Greg Norman and Sandy Lyle are some of the other winners at Sandwich over the years.
