Tour de France 2021 stage profiles

By Phil Bainbridge

June 26, 2021 - July 18, 2021 - Starting in the north-west city of Brest, Brittany, the defining characteristic of the 2021 Tour de France is the inclusion of a double ascent of the iconic Mont Ventoux and a visit to Andorra.

The 108th edition of the Tour, which will feature two individual time trials, in the opening week and on the penultimate day, could however be decided in the Pyrenees, with the 18th stage going through another iconic ascent, to the Col du Tourmalet.

Stage 15 features the highest peak of this year’s race, as riders summit the 2,408m-high Port d’Envalira before finishing in Andorra.

Cycling's biggest race will start on June 26 after this year's event was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, and it will end in Paris on the Champs-Elysees on July 18.
