UEFA Europa League knock-out stages continue

April 8, 2021 - UEFA Europa League Quarter-final first leg matches include a clash between perennial European powerhouses Ajax and Roma, with the Italians aiming to reach a second semi-final in European competition in four seasons after four successive knock-out stage victories. The second leg matches take place on April 15.

The remaining contests include 2017 champions Manchester United facing tournament debutants Granada, Arsenal against Slavia Prague,and Dinamo Zagreb -- fresh from an astonishing second leg comeback against Tottenham Hotspur in the Last 16 -- taking on Villarreal.

The 2020-21 UEFA Europa League is the 50th season of Europe’s secondary club football tournament.

The season culminates with the final at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk in Poland on May 26, 2021.

The winners of the tournament automatically qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League group stage, and earn the right to play against the winners of the 2020-21 Champions League in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup.

Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national league and cup competitions.
