Joe Biden becomes oldest president in U.S. history

January 20, 2021 - Joe Biden becomes the oldest president in U.S. history at age 78, taking the helm at a moment of profound political division and economic turmoil across the nation. His most urgent priority is to confront the unrelenting coronavirus pandemic. On the eve of his inauguration, Biden led a remembrance ceremony to honour the 400,000 people in the U.S. lost to the virus.
