Champions League Last 16, 2nd leg, Aug 8

August 8, 2020 - The UEFA Champions League, Europe’s premier club football competition, restarts with 12 teams still in contention to lift the trophy. The remaining Last 16 ties will be completed on home turf, including match-ups between Bayern Munich and Chelsea at the Allianz Arena, and Barcelona against Napoli at Camp Nou.

After a five-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Champions League returns with a feast of football.

Once the final Last 16 ties are completed the winners will join Atalanta, Paris Saint Germain, Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, Portugal, for a straight “Final Eight” knock-out tournament to decide the 2020 champions. The final takes place at the Estadio da Luz on August 23.

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
