Australian Open women’s seeds 2020

January 20, 2020 - February 2, 2020 - The Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, takes place in Melbourne.

World No.1 and Roland Garros champion Ashleigh Barty heads the women’s seeds at the Australian Open, aiming to become the first Australian woman to win her home Grand Slam since 1978.

Karolina Pliskova is seeded No.2, with reigning Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka at No.3 and Wimbledon winner Simona Halep at No.4 seed.

Serena Williams -- making a fresh bid to win a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam singles title -- is No.8 seed.
