November 10, 1919: Mikhail Kalashnikov, Russian general and military engineer who designed the AK-47, the world’s most widely used assault rifle, and its variants, was born

November 11, 2017: The Louvre Abu Dhabi, under construction for 10 years, opened. Featuring a vast silver dome filled with art, it was the first museum of its kind in the Arab world

November 12, 2018: Stan Lee, the mastermind behind Marvel comics and creator of iconic characters such as Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk and the X-Men, died aged 95

November 13, 1930: The Rotolactor, a rotating milking platform invented by Henry W. Jeffers that could milk 1,680 cows in seven hours, was installed at a dairy in New Jersey
