A concise history of Nintendo’s Zelda game series
June 11, 2019 -- The annual E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is taking place in Los Angeles. Nintendo is showcasing several franchise updates, including for the first time, its Switch remake of “The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening” – originally released for the Game Boy in 1993.
During E3 2019, Nintendo broadcast a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday, June 11.
Nintendo Direct E3 2019 focused entirely on brand new game titles coming in 2019 and 2020, with no talk of a new console.
The game giant’s 2019 lineup includes Super Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age — Definitive Edition, Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch, Daemon X Machina, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Shield, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
