Formula E 2018-19 Rounds 12-13 - New York City, United States

By Tony Mullins

July 13, 2019 - July 14, 2019 - The Formula E 2018-19 Championship concludes in New York City, returning to the Big Apple for the epic doubleheader season finale as 22 drivers battle it out over two races in the shadow of the spectacular Manhattan skyline to be crowned the fifth Formula E World Champion.

Formula E is back in the heart of Brooklyn for the third year running, capitalising on the success of the past two seasons.

The 10-corner, 1.214-mile (1,953km) circuit is built on the streets and parking lots next to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook, Brooklyn, with the Lower Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty forming impressive backdrops.

New this year is a centralised pit lane in the heart of the event that will allow spectators to watch all 22 cars and drivers head out of the pits ahead of the race.

The sixth season of the Formula E World Championship is scheduled to begin at Saudi Arabia’s Ad-Diriyah Street Circuit in December 2019.
