101st PGA Championship at Bethpage Black
May 16-19, 2019 -- The 2019 PGA Championship will be played at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. It will be the first time that the tournament will be held at the Long Island venue, which previously hosted the U.S. Open in 2002 and 2009.
The PGA Championship is now the second on the calendar of golf’s four majors, having moved up from August to May, the full list being:
US Masters: April 11-14
US PGA Championship: May 16-19
US Open: June 13-16
British Open Championship: July 18-21
The PGA Championship invites all winners of PGA Tour events in the year preceding the tournament. As amateur golfers do not normally play on the PGA Tour, they can qualify by winning one of the other three majors, winning a PGA Tour event while playing under a sponsor's exemption, or having a high world ranking.
