Venezuela oil flows continue despite sanctions
February 13, 2019 - Venezuela’s state-run oil company PDVSA is shipping some 1.15 million barrels per day of crude and refined products unimpeded by U.S. sanctions and payment restrictions, according to Reuters data.
Venezuela was exporting about 1.4 million barrels per day in the months before sanctions took effect on January 28.
The South American nation is looking to double exports to India as the sanctions – designed to undercut financial support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro – disrupt deliveries to the United States and Europe.
