Djokovic v Nadal in Australian Open men’s final 2019
January 27, 2019 -- Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Spain’s Rafael Nadal contest the men’s singles final at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Novak Djokovic will win a record seventh Australian Open title if he can overcome his great rival Rafael Nadal, who is looking to become the first man in the Open era to win all four Grand Slams at least twice.
Djokovic is looking to win his third successive Grand Slam title after victories at both Wimbledon and the U.S Open propelled him back to World No.1 in 2018. While Nadal, in his fifth Melbourne final, is aiming to secure his first Australian Open title since 2009.
The pair have 52 times, Djokovic edging the rivalry with 27 wins, most recently a thrilling five-set epic in the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
