The UK is due to leave the European Union in four months but still cannot count on a transition period to protect its economy.

Prime Minister Theresa May last week agreed a draft withdrawal deal with Brussels, but faces stiff resistance within her own Conservative Party – making its failure in parliament a possibility, which could trigger a “no deal” exit.
