Chicago Marathon 2018
October 7, 2018 - The 41st Bank of America Chicago Marathon is expected to see over 40,000 participants, with runners following a scenic downtown course that ends in Grant Park, on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Kenya’s Dickson Chumba, Chicago Marathon winner in 2015, heads the men’s elite field, but faces tough competition from fellow countryman and 2016 champion Abel Kirui. In the women's race, Brigid Kosgei of Kenya and Ethiopian Birhane Dibaba both aim to claim their first title in Chicago after podium finishes in recent years.
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah from Britain will also make his Chicago Marathon debut. He finished third in London earlier this year, breaking the British marathon record with a time of 2:06:22.
